Psychotherapy

People seek psychotherapy for multiple reasons. You might be experiencing relationship difficulties or be worried about the direction that your career is taking. You might be feeling anxious or fixated on a specific problem or person.

Maybe you are drinking too much alcohol as a way of coping with troubling feelings or of numbing the pain caused by traumatic experiences. Life might have no meaning for you, or you may feel that you have lost your way.

It could be that you have read some of Carl Jung’s writing and you would like to explore Jungian psychology in greater depth. Or maybe you have reached mid-life and encountered some type of spiritual crisis.

Jungian psychotherapy is a talking therapy in which the client and therapist work together to increase consciousness of emotions, relationships and patterns of behaviour. It is by becoming more conscious that we can begin to make different choices and create new patterns for our lives. More than any particular modality of psychology or technique, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in determining psychological healing.

I aim to provide a safe, confidential and reliable space for us to explore whatever issues might arise. In the first instance I will suggest that we meet via Zoom to discuss whether it feels right for us to work together.  If we decide to work together, meetings would then take place on a weekly basis, either in-person or via Zoom.

I have worked with the following issues, among others:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Mid-life crisis
  • Spiritual crisis/awakening
  • Addiction
  • Relationships
  • Chronic illness
  • Psychic phenomena
  • Career transition
  • Self-harm
  • Nightmares
  • End of life
  • Abuse (Physical, Sexual, Emotional and Spiritual)
  • Loneliness
  • Trauma
  • Disability
  • Creativity
